BREAKING THE CHAINS: Finding Freedom from the Seven Deadly Sins
A 7-WEEK PARISH FORMATION JOURNEY TOWARD INTERIOR FREEDOM AND VIRTUE
Welcome Letter
Dear Friend in Christ,
Welcome to this sacred journey of transformation. Over the next seven weeks, we will face the Seven Deadly Sins—not to dwell on guilt, but to walk into freedom. Each week, we’ll explore a vice that keeps us bound, and a virtue that leads us to life. This isn’t about achieving perfection. It’s about letting Christ break the chains and teach us how to love.
There will be stories, Scripture, prayer, and honest reflection. There may even be laughter (and maybe some holy discomfort). But most of all, there will be grace.
Let’s begin together—one step, one virtue, one freedom at a time.
In hope and joy,Fr. Jarek and the Formation Team
WEEKLY FORMAT
Each week will follow this rhythm: • Scripture Reading • Key Insight • Reflection Questions • Spiritual Practice • Closing Prayer
You’ll also find space to journal, pray, and track your growth.

Key Insight:Pride puts us on a throne. Humility reminds us who really belongs there.
Reflection Questions: 1. When have I tried to appear more “together” than I really was? 2. What makes it hard for me to admit I’m wrong? 3. Where is God inviting me to be smaller—so He can be greater?
Spiritual Practice: • Pray the Litany of Humility. • Journal a recent moment when you were wrong—but struggled to admit it.
Prayer:
Jesus, gentle and humble of heart, help me to let go of my need to be impressive.Teach me to kneel, to listen, and to love without being noticed.Amen.
